C64 Forever Express Edition vs. Plus Edition
TOPIC
Q: What are the differences between the Express Edition and the Plus Edition of C64 Forever?
DISCUSSION
The Express Edition of C64 Forever is a feature-limited, advertising-sponsored free version that can be upgraded (registered) to the Plus Edition functionality.
Exclusive Plus Edition features include:
- Disk change commit/undo and saved states
- RP9 Manager to import, export and rescan content
- Support for multiple simultaneous playback windows
- Full-screen mode
- Skins (when available)
C64 Forever Express Edition displays registration prompts at startup and on exit, and advertising banners in the content window (before playback and/or under the playback region). The Plus Edition has no advertising whatsoever.
If you already installed the Express Edition, it can be upgraded to the Plus Edition functionality without requiring a new installation. Simply select Upgrade from the Tools menu, and enter the license key.
When ordering the Plus Edition you also have the option to download a CD ISO image, which features a run-from-medium environment. This same CD is included in the boxed Plus Edition (physical package).
